Privacy Policy
1. Our Commitment to Data Protection
Digital Assets Society Vienna ("DASV", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. We process personal data in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), the Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz, "DSG"), and all other applicable data protection legislation. We collect only the minimum amount of data necessary, store it only as long as required, and never sell or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect personal data exclusively through our contact form and other voluntary forms of communication (e.g. email correspondence). This may include your name, email address, and the content of your message. We do not collect any data beyond what you voluntarily provide to us.
3. How We Use Your Data
The personal data you provide is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where applicable, to communicate with you about DASV's activities. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries directed at us).
4. Cookies and Tracking
This website does not use cookies, tracking technologies, analytics tools, or any form of automated data collection. No data is gathered about your browsing behaviour, device, or usage patterns when you visit our website.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Personal data submitted through our contact form is transmitted to us via email and stored only in our email systems. We retain this data for as long as necessary to address your enquiry and for any subsequent correspondence. Data is deleted once it is no longer needed, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties. Your data is not shared with external service providers, advertising networks, or analytics platforms. The only exception would be where we are legally obligated to disclose data to public authorities under applicable law.
7. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection with respect to the personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to withdraw any consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at office@digitalassetssociety.at.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria (dsb@dsb.gv.at).
